AUKUS Pillar II Forum

The AUKUS Pillar II Forum is a new annual initiative led by Article 36 Legal under its Responsible by Design program.

Held each June and rotating between partner universities in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, the Forum brings together government, industry, academia, and defence practitioners to shape the responsible design and development of advanced capabilities, including AI, cyber, hypersonic, directed energy, undersea autonomous, and quantum technologies.

The Forum provides a unique platform to share best practices on legality and Article 36 legal reviews, promote transparency and interoperability across AUKUS innovation, and embed law, ethics, safety, and trust at the heart of next-generation capability design.

Coming Soon.

The first AUKUS PII forum will be held in June 2026. If you are a government, industry, academic, defence or civil society representative, please select the button below to register your interest in participating in the forum.
